Quality is of utmost importance in everything that we do.

JBK Wellness has earned its reputation for excellence and integrity by paying close attention to every aspect of manufacturing and quality control.

Quality is expressed throughout in our use of innovative technologies, producing the greatest percentage of active herbal material.

All of our suppliers adhere to our stringent qualification standards. We require Certificates of Analysis for every raw material used in our premixes and extracts.

Multiple lots are sampled, tested and verified for stability, homogeneity and potency.

Premixes are optimized to withstand product processing conditions, and achieve shelf-life requirements and performance specifications.

Ability to examine premixes for particle size, impurities [e.g. heavy metals such as lead, mercury, arsenic], microbiological issues and other critical quality factors.

Every herb is visually inspected for appropriate genus and part, as well as for quality and freshness, using traditional organoleptic methodology.

Only superior grades of herbal ingredients are selected and any adulterated, or improperly substituted material, rejected.

We assemble, test and manufacture our herbal formulas in Southern California with stringent manufacturing standards to assure the potency and purity you expect. Our independent assessment and testing of each herbal ingredient means that, regardless of seasonal and market variations, our formulas are composed of the highest quality materials.

To ensure that our finished products are of consistently high quality, and to prevent materials from being adulterated or contaminated, we have established manufacturing controls that meet or exceed recognized current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) set forth by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Our internal manufacturing controls provide documented proof that correct procedures are consistently followed, at each step of the manufacturing process, every time the product is made. Our cGMPs assure the purity, consistent composition, and quality of all of our finished products.

We control all phases of production; from the raw ingredient procurement, to processing, formulating, testing and packaging. We assume responsibility for every level of production and manufacturing. Every lot is tested to ensure purity and potency.

Extensive controls cover the sanitation and hygiene of our facilities, utensils, production materials and containers, as well as testing specifications and limits for heavy metals, pesticides and bio-burdens. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis, our quality control unit approves all procedures, specifications, controls, tests, and examinations that impact the purity, quality and composition of an ingredient or product.

Controls are also in place for handling materials throughout each step of the production process, such as worksheets and traveling tags, assuring consistency from batch to batch, easy monitoring, and averting opportunities for adulteration. All bulk products are stored in quarantine before entering our production cycle. Products are labeled with a formula identification number, lot number, receiving date, and expiration date for easy tracking by our Quality Control department.

California, the site of our production facility, has some of the most rigorous safety standards in the world. Our adherence to these high standards and the cGMPs we have established for our company set us apart.

With proper storage, the shelf life of our premixes and extracts is 3 years. Once opened, exposure to air, moisture, heat and light will accelerate the formula’s natural process of erosion.

Each of our formulas are processed in small batches that yield superior percentages of herbal material per ounce, and each is individually assayed for optimum concentration. The final premix or extract is an effective formula of remarkable character, enriched with the individual flavors and clinical potency that the ancient medical masters intended.

Excellent manufacturing techniques are required to yield the high concentration of active ingredients necessary for effective herbal therapy.

Batch to batch consistency of each lot of finished extract is verified.

Liquid extracts are the most bioavailable form of delivery available, surpassing any other type of concentration, including tablets or concentrated powders.
