The Difference
THE SCIENCE OF EAST-ASIAN HERBOLOGY
Throughout history, the most highly respected herbologists have had the wisdom and knowledge to create herbal formulas that greatly benefit all individual. These particular herbal formulas, which can be prescribed to and taken by any individual, are known in East Asia as Bi Bong™ Formulas, or “secret formulas” that are handed down from generation to generation through a family line.
THE WHOLE IS GREATER THAN THE SUM OF ITS PARTS…
JBK specializes in Bi-Bong™ herbal extracts. These are specific herbal formulations that have been handed down for centuries through a family lineage, and which were once only available to the royal families of East Asia. What makes the formulas special and truly healing is not the individual herbs, but the wisdom of how to combine those herbs and the special extraction methods to create a balanced formula that works optimally with the body. These are formulas that cannot be found elsewhere.
TRADITIONAL ORIENTAL MEDICINE & OUR EAST-ASIAN WELLNESS PHILOSOPHY
Traditional Oriental Medicine (TOM) is a holistic method of treatment that uses acupuncture and herbs to strengthen and promote health. TOM is based on the concept of “chi” (vital energy), which flows along pathways in the body called meridians and is stored in major organs.
When chi is disrupted, then blockages are created and the body may manifest pain or disease. This disruption can be due to many things, such as injury, surgery, bad diet, toxins, overuse and old age.
When chi is strengthened and flows in a balanced way it creates an immediate positive cycle. Balanced chi leads to increased strength, increased strength leads to increased oxygen, increased oxygen leads to better circulation, and better circulation opens the channels (meridians) of the mind and body. Balanced meridians lead to a balanced level of chi. This positive cycle brings quality nutrition to organs, thereby promoting ultimate health, youthfulness and longevity.
THE ANCIENT AND PROVEN DELIVERY SYSTEM
For over 5,000 years, Traditional Oriental Medical doctors have spent thousands of years of rigorous training to master the science of prescribing herbal formulas.
With a pharmacopeia of over 1,800 individual plants, roots, leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds, the healing power of each herb is usually combined with other herbs into individually produced formulas.
Every herbal ingredient is classified according to its energetic quality and function upon different organ systems, meridians and neuro-hormones. The purest and most effective herbal ingredients are used in different quantities and for different purposes in order to create the most proficient formula. Throughout history, the most highly respected herbologists have the wisdom and knowledge of creating powerful herbal formulas. These particular herbal formulas are known in East Asia as Bi Bong Formulas, or “Secret Formulas” that are handed down from generation to generation through a family line.
In a single formula, herbs are assigned different tasks to result with multiple physiological changes that balance the entire body to both eliminate immediate symptoms, as well as tackle the root cause of the condition. Each formula consists of a specific hierarchy of herbal ingredients:
Chief Herbs
Correct the main imbalances of the body and is the most important ingredient of the formula.
Deputy Herbs
Assist the chief herbs to target the primary condition and/or treat secondary signs and symptoms.
Assistant Herbs
Reinforce the action of the chief and deputy while harmonizing or eliminating any harsh properties of other herbs within the formula.
Envoy Herbs
The messenger herbs that direct the effects of the formula to certain meridians or areas of the body and integrate the function of the rest of the herbs.
